The foundation was founded in 1999 and presently has a board of directors comprising :
   
Chairman - Honorable Justice Oluwadare Aguda (Retired Judge of the Ondo State High Court)
Obtained a degree in Law from the U.K. and was called to the English bar. On his return to Nigeria, for many years he had a virile legal practice in Kaduna State where he represented, corporate organisations and labour unions, including the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities. He was called to the higher bench as a Judge of the High Court of Ondo State where he had a distinguished career as a jurist - from which he retired. He has always been interested in the work of civil society organizations. Chairman, Ondo State Law Commission.

President -

Professor A. A. Ilemobade, (Former Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Akure).
He served as Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure from 1988 to Jan. 1996. He has been involved as Expert Consultant to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in several areas of his expertise, but more specifically in the area of Sleeping Sickness of man and animals and in helping to design projects that ensures sustainable agriculture and rural development. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the inter-agency (FAO, AU, IAEA and WHO) consortium (PAAT) on Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis. Professor Ilemobade became interested in 1997 in using deliberation to address issues of public policy. He and a group of citizens incorporated this methodology in grassroots efforts to successfully address some environmental issues in Ijapo Estate, Akure. Subsequently, he attended the International Deliberative Democracy workshop in Washington D.C. in 1999 and the International Civil Society workshop in 2000. Professor Ilemobade will coordinate the overall project. Professor Ilemobade has served as resource person and co-facilitator of the workshops organized by URF.

   
Board Members - High Chief 'Bayo Akinnola, (The Lisa of Ondo Kingdom).
He is a traditional High Chief of Ondo kingdom, the second-in-command to the Traditional ruler of Ondo Kingdom and a notable industrialist. He is the Chairman of several companies, including a Blue-chip, West African Portland Cement PLC.
  Dr. J.O. Alakuro, (Retired Director of Veterinary Services, Ondo State).
He is the Secretary of the Foundation. He is a Veterinary Surgeon and Epidemiologist and is in private veterinary practice.
  Mrs. C.O. Ilemobade, an Educationist and seasoned administrator.
She retired as the Headmistress of the Federal University of Technology Staff School and currently runs Peaceland Nursery and Primary School, FUTA Road, Akure as the proprietress.
  Honourable Justice S.F. Adeloye (Retired Chief Judge of Ondo State).
He currently is the Chairman of one of the foremost indigenous Foundations in Nigeria, Ajasin Foundation, and a Director of the Co-Operative Bank of Nigeria, PLC.
 

Prof. Mrs. Folasade Akinkugbe (Director, Institute of Child Health, Faculty of Public Health, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan)

  Barrister Jumoke Anifowoshe (Politician and Former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice , Ondo State)
  Dr. Mrs. Timiebi Koripamo-Agary (Permanent Sec., Fed. Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Abuja)
She has a B.Sc and Ph.D in Biological Sciences (Uni. of Ibadan). Her career started at the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, rising through the ranks to become the Director coordinating development of plant and herbal medicine in the Ministry. She moved to the Women Development Centre, Abuja, as Director-General before her appointment as Federal Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Productivity. She is very active in Civil Society organizations both at the local and national levels. She has been on several delegations from Nigeria to foreign countries, including Beijing, on issues affecting women and civil societies.
  Mrs. Lois Maikori (Deputy Director, Economic Planning and Statistics, Dept. of Finance, FCDA, Abuja)
B.Sc (Econs) from Ahmadu Bello University and MBA (Hull), served in the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) before her political appointment as Director, Women Affairs Commission of the FCT. She returned to the Civil Service to take up her current appointment. Mrs. Maikori is very active in civil society work, both religious and non-religious and is widely travelled in Europe, Africa, USA and Asia.
